N=3

This is very basic, so it won't take long. First step in any algebraic question is to combine like terms, any term with alike variables or constants. So to begin with we need to combine the constants.
2n+1=7 To combine like terms, we need to move the 1 over to the seven by subtracting on both sides like a mirror.
2n+1-1=7-1
2n=6
Then, since it's 2n we need to divide by two to get n isolated.
2n/2=6/2
n=3

The final answer is n=3.

160=s.t

Faster train:(2) 160=(s+10) .(t-.5)From (1)(1) t=160/s

A 40-foot ladder is leaning against a building and forms a 29.32° angle with the ground. How far away from the building is the b
EastWind [94]

Answer:

34.88feet

Step-by-step explanation:

The set up forms a right angle triangle with the length of the ladder being the hypotenuse and the angle of elevation is 29.32°. USing SOH, CAH TOA to determine the distance of the building from the base of the ladder.

The distance we are looking fir will be the adjacent. According to CAH.

cos29.32°= x/40

x = 40cos29.32°

x = 34.88feet (to the nearest hundredth)

The ladder is 34.88feet away from the building

A car is at a distance s, in miles from its starting point in t hours, given by s(t)=10t^2. Find s(2) and s(5). Find s(5)-s(2).
weeeeeb [17]

Answer:

Average Velocity= 70 miles per hour

Step-by-step explanation:

Distance= s

Time = t

s(t)=10t^2

Putting the values

s(2) = 10 (2)^2= 10&4

s= 40

s(5) = 10 (5)^2 = 10*25

S(5)= 250

The average velocity is defined as the rate of change of speed in unit time.

So

Speed= distance/time

Velocity = Speed in a definite direction

Average Velocity= Displacement/ Time

Average Velocity= Change in distance/ Change in time

s(5) - s(2)/ t(5)- t(2)

= 250-40/5-2= 210/3= 70 miles per hour
