Hello there!

The question you asked is "why is it important to remember historical events?"

The answer to your question is simply that in order to stop bad things from happening in the future, we must learn from the past.

The holocaust is one example of something we don't want to repeat in the future, therefore we must study how Hitler took over Germany. A few of the things he did was took over the school systems so that he could indoctrinate the children. These children became known as the Hitler Youth. Another thing he did was take away guns from Jewish people so that they could not fight back.

If we realize what Hitler did to take over, we can stop fascist politicians in modern day times.

I hope this helps!
Best wishes:)

2. The Great Schism was the split in the Christian Church based on doctrinal and political differences, which weakened the Church's spiritual and political influence on the Christian world and divided Europe into Eastern and Western Churches.

3. The main differences between Lutheranism (represented by Martin Luther) and Catholicism (represented by the papacy) during the Reformation Period were justification, grace, faith, and works.

4. Christian humanists believed that the best way to reform the Church and society was for people to use reason, classical learning, and personal judgment.

Who were Christian humanists?

Christian humanists were Christian philosophers who believed that good thinking and judgment obtained from classical learning could lead to improvement and reform of the Church and society.

Some of the Christian humanists included Martin Luther, Desiderius Erasmus, and Thomas More. These Christian humanists believed in using these three approaches to reform the Church and society:

 • Biblical teachings
 • Theology
 • Classical learning.

Thus, the translation of the writings of Plato and Aristotle into Arabic by Muslim scholars helped preserved them.

mixas84 [53]
It might be said that the warming climate affected the paleo- Indians by allowing people to grow more plants and have a better gardening food quality. QveST [7]

Robert E. Lee was not in favor of slavery, or of dividing the nation, but his home state of Virginia was one of the Southern states that voted to secede. Because of his loyalty to his home state and in an effort to protect his own property, he left the Union Army and joined the Confederate Army.
