In the biological aspect, the trips made after the Columbus achievement significantly changed eating habits, agricultural production, use of geographical spaces and also people's health.

In terms of food, the Colombian exchange allowed the sending of cultivated vegetables originating in America to be produced in Europe, Asia and Africa. This has altered the eating habits of the populations of these regions, creating in many cases a food stability, providing new foods to be cultivated and consumed by these populations, whose efforts for their production could be smaller.
