Origins of the term Goth. The name "goth" originally came from a Germanic tribe. The Romans regarded them as barbaric and uncultured, much like the Vandals.

Tragedy is also a kind of play, usually with a person dying, and conflict ensuing because of it

As you may know, the fifteen amendment was passed, and it prohibited the federal and state governments from denying a citizen the right to vote based on that citizen's "race, color, or previous condition of servitude".
