Total Distance = 4km

Each person takes 4/5km

Calculate the number of times the tent has to change hands:

4 \div  \dfrac{4}{5} =  \dfrac{4}{1} \times  \dfrac{5}{4} = \dfrac{5}{1} = 5

\boxed {\boxed { \text {Answer: The tent will have to change hands 5 times.} } \\  \\ }

4/5 kilometre = 0.8 km

If the hike is 4km in total, then the number of times the tent would be swapped is:
(4/0.8) - 1
= 5 - 1
= 4 times (5 is the number of sections of 0.8 km in the 4 km hike however since one person already started with the tent in the first section it would need to be swapped between the two people 4 times - hopefully that makes sense)

What is the probability of flipping two coins and both landing on heads
prisoha [69]

Answer:

The probability of getting heads on the toss of a coin is 0.5. If we consider all possible outcomes of the toss of two coins as shown, there is only one outcome of the four in which both coins have come up heads, so the probability of getting heads on both coins is 0.25. The second useful rule is the Sum Rule.

I don’t understand, please help! Solve m=p/2-n for n.
belka [17]

Answer:    n=p/2-m

Step-by-step explanation:

m=p/2-n   (1)

Add n to both sides of the equation  (1)

m+n=p/2-n+n => m+n=p/2     (2)

Subtract m from both sides of the equation (2)

m-m+n=p/2-m => n=p/2-m
