Answer: 14.67 pounds of second alloy must be added to the first alloy to get 12% mixture.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

A alloy of 14% tin weigh 22 pounds.

There is a  second alloy of 9% tin .

we need to find the quantity of second alloy that must be added to first alloy get a 12% mixture.

We will use "Mixture Alligation":

   Ist alloy   IInd alloy

     14%             9%

               12%

-------------------------------------

 12-9          :             14-12

    3            :                2

Since Ist alloy = 22 pounds

According to question, it becomes,

\frac{3}{2}=\frac{22}{x}\\\\2\times 22=3x\\\\44=3x\\\\\frac{44}{3}=x\\\\14.67=x

Hence, 14.67 pounds of second alloy must be added to the first alloy to get 12% mixture.

sukhopar [10]
So we start with the $60 untouched.

Then we add the tax which is $60•0.07= 4.20 that is the tax

Then add the tax to the total $60 + $4.20= $64.20

Next we must add the tip so $60•0.15= 9.

Then $64.20 + $9.00 = $73.20

Total cost of meal $73.20

which has the greater volume: Prism with a length of 5 inches, a width of 4 inches, and a height of 10, or a prism with a length
GuDViN [60]
Since you have to multiple. L×W×H....

The first one has a volume of 400 and the second has a volume of 400...so both prisms have an equal volume but have a differnet shape

Please help ill give brainiest answer
trapecia [35]

Answer:

1: AAS, RQC 2: ASA, SRP

Step-by-step explanation:

(1) We are shown that two angles and one side are congruent in the order of AAS. Make sure you write the letters in terms of the corresponding angles. The angles and sides are congruent because the problem labels it for us. For example, B,A,C=R,Q,S. Answers: AAS, RQC.

(2) We are shown that two angles and one side are congruent in the order of ASA. Make sure you write the letters in terms of the corresponding angles again. For example, P,Q,R=P,S,R. The angles are congruent because the problem labels it for us. Side PR is congruent to side PR by reflexive property. Answers: ASA, SRP.

I hope this helped :) Good luck
