Americans often lead stressful lives. The stresses come from work, school, family and social pressures. The long term effects of

stress contribute to different illnesses. Consequently, healthcare professionals recommend that we reduce our stress levels as much as possible. From your own experiences, what seem to be the most effective ways of dealing with and reducing stress?

I honestly feel everyone is different but me personally I deal with stress by breathing exercises. It feels good and it makes me get rid of my stress. I also take baths and do my breathing exercises in there as well.

Using positive actions while communicating with others can affect you drastically, if you are a naturally positive person, then being a positive peer will cause less conflict. If you are continuously being rude or negative on purpose, it can cause conflict and violence, which is not good for your mental health. Well I have personal experience with this. I had chronic pain for a long time and I couldn't go anywhere. I couldn't go to see my friends or to go outside and enjoy anything because I was in constant pain. Eventually, I had depression due to lack of joy in my life and lack of going outside. If you are stuck with physical pain and it causes you to be non-mobile, then you are going to have mental and social issues. Hope this helps :)
