Although I am not going to write out the whole paragraph for you, here are a few things about the 1920s that may help :)

- There was a brief economic change after WW1, and this played into consumerism

- Fashion and gender constructs started to change as feminism and movie culture started to bloom

- A consumer society was starting to be built, money and possessions started to have a greater meaning to people.

- More open and flexible moral standards

- The general public more likely to rebel (mostly to to prohibition laws)

Hope this helped!

What was the group called that met after Napoleon's defeat and what did they want to do for Europe?
Andrews [41]

Answers:

  • The Congress of Vienna
  • They wanted to restore peace and stability in Europe

Explanation:

The Congress of Vienna was a gathering of leaders from the European nations that had defeated France and Napoleon -- and France was allowed representation also.  (The French Minister of Foreign Affairs, Charles Maurice de Talleyrand-Périgord, had a role there. )

The delegates of the Congress of Vienna were interested in creating a balance of power in European politics. They did not want one nation to become too powerful again and press beyond its borders as France had done under Napoleon. The Congress of Vienna emphasized also the principal of "legitimacy" -- trying to put rulers in power that they thought to be the legitimate rulers of nations. (So, for instance, the Bourbon monarchy was restored in France.) They sought to prevent revolutions and unrest from breaking out again ... but it would only be a couple decades before further revolutions did occur.

Which action best illustrates Mohandas Gandhi's concept of civil disobedience?
crimeas [40]
<span>B) Citizens in the United States went to jail for violating segregation laws.

Gandhi advocated for a new non-confrontational technique of protest where the citizenry would desist from acts of violence. whenever violence broke out, Gandhi would control it by refusing to eat. By disobeying the segregation laws, the citizens basically refused to disobey the civil racial laws and were sent to jail without any bloodbath from the police. It denies those in power justifications for atrocities.
