Carrie buys 4.16 pounds of apples for 5.20 how much does 1 pound cost
JulijaS [17]
4.16 / 5.20 = 1 / x.....4.16 lbs to $ 5.20 = 1 lb to $x
cross multiply because this is a proportion
(4.16)(x) = (5.20)(1)
4.16x = 5.20
x = 5.20 / 4.16
x = 1.25 per lb <==
