Increasing not only the number of attendance but also the demand for books, songs, and movies with a religious tendency. The other reason that increased the enthusiasm for religion was the Cold war, where the Communism was depicted as an anti-christian movement mastered by Satan. In 1954, Congress added the phrase “under God” to the Pledge of Allegiance and in 1956 made the statement “In God We Trust” mandatory on all coins and currency. In 1956, Congress made “In God We Trust” the national motto.
