The correct answer is There was an increased enthusiasm for religion.

After the end of WWII, Americans joined churches and synagogues in record numbers. Increasing not only the number of attendance but also the demand for books, songs, and movies with a religious tendency. The other reason that increased the enthusiasm for religion was the Cold war, where the Communism was depicted as an anti-christian movement mastered by Satan. In 1954, Congress added the phrase “under God” to the Pledge of Allegiance and in 1956 made the statement “In God We Trust” mandatory on all coins and currency. In 1956, Congress made “In God We Trust” the national motto.

How and why did the goals of United States foreign policy change from the end of the First World War (1918) to the end of the Ko
julia-pushkina [17]
After world war 1 the United States wanted to isolate themselves from things like that because of how bad the war was. They went as far as to not join the league of nations that their President made himself with other presidents. After the Korean War, they decided to not isolate themselves and meddle as much as possible to prevent the spread of communism because it would strengthen the Soviet Union who was the main enemy.

How did shifting workforce demographics contribute to the dramatic changes that occurred in the US labor force and industry duri
oksian1 [2.3K]
Most of the people working before WW2 was males, with females doing all the house work, and told to "not get any outside jobs". However, during WW2, all the males were called to serve in the army, which left a lot of vacant space that needed to be filled. The women filled these positions, and took over producing war material. After WW2, some women returned to working at home, however many still wanted to work outside. This led to a shifting workforce of dominately males inside the workforce to more of a half-and-half.

hope this helps

What was the overall tone of Lewis's speech? What parts of Lewis's speech were changed? Why?
Crazy boy [7]
The overall tone of Lewis' speech was angry and strong. For some, the speech sounded too belligerent. John Lewis changed parts of his speech at the request of Martin Luther King, Jr. Lewis said he could not say no to King because King was his hero, his inspiration.
The part where Lewis said they cannot wholeheartedly support the administration's civil rights bill for it is too little and too late was removed from his revised speech.
Lewis' original speech "We will march through the South, through the heart of Dixie, the way Sherman did" was changed to "we will march with the spirit of love and with the spirit of dignity that we have shown here today"
