The European dish that would be impossible to make without goods imported from the Americas during the Columbian Exchange is Tomato sauce and pasta. This is due to the fact that tomato has its prehistoric origin in South America. Eventually, this plant moved to the region of Mesoamerica, between Mexico and Costa Rica and was taken on by the Aztecs. After this, when Spanish colonized this region, they discovered the fruit in the 16th century and took its seeds to Europe.

Write facts about the Black Death pandemic in the spaces provided. Help me please
Sonbull [250]

Answer:

The Black Death was a bubonic plague pandemic occurring in Afro-Eurasia from 1346-53. It is the most fatal pandemic recorded in human history, resulting in the deaths of up to 75–200 million people in Eurasia and North Africa, peaking in Europe from 1347 to 1351. Wikipedia

Deaths: 75,000,000 – 200,000,000 (estimate)

Disease: Bubonic plague

Start date: 1346

Location: Eurasia, parts of Africa

End date: 1353

The Black Death was one of the most feared diseases in the 14th century. It was a type of plague that was spread via the bite of infected rat fleas. The name Black Death came from the swollen buboes (glands) in the victim's neck, armpits, and inner thigh that turned black as they filled with blood.

How did it end? The most popular theory of how the plague ended is through the implementation of quarantines. The uninfected would typically remain in their homes and only leave when it was necessary, while those who could afford to do so would leave the more densely populated areas and live in greater isolation.
