They should have a positive difference in Electronegativites, & both are partially charged. Some negative & positive are both the elements, instantaneous dipoles form, form to "London dispersion forces". So it to be polar, the compound must also be unsymmetrical, & the shared to unshared ratio must fit the equation X:0, x amount of shared to 0 unshared.

How much mass defect is required to release 5.5 x 1020 J of energy?
Montano1993 [528]

Answer : The mass defect required to release energy is 6111.111 kg

Explanation :

To calculate the mass defect for given energy released, we use Einstein's equation:

E=\Delta mc^2

E = Energy released = 5.5\times 10^{20}J

\Delta m = mass change = ?

c = speed of light = 3\times 10^8m/s

Now put all the given values in above equation, we get:

5.5\times 10^{20}Kgm^2/s^2=\Delta m\times (3\times 10^8m/s)^2

\Delta m=6111.111kg

Therefore, the mass defect required to release energy is 6111.111 kg

Understanding how much of a product is produced in a reaction is referred to as ________ understanding the reaction?
777dan777 [17]
Hello!

Understanding how much of a product is produced in a reaction is referred to as Stoichiometrically understanding the reaction.

Stoichiometry is the calculation of the quantitative relationships between reactants and products in a chemical reaction. The first to talk about stoichiometry was Jeremias Benjamin Ritcher, who said that "Stoichiometry is the science that measures the quantitative proportions or mass ratios of chemical elements that are involved in a chemical reaction".

To calculate how much of a product is produced in a reaction, Stoichiometry is used, applying the law of conservation of mass. That means that the amount of product can be calculated from the amounts of reactants if they are known.
