In modern democracies elected officials who are sent to the government seat
igor_vitrenko [27]

Answer:

In the US they are called Congressmen, congresswomen or member of congress.

Explanation:

Congress represents the people of all the different districts of a nation.

Senate represents the government of those territories.

Both make up the legislative branch, but technically, congress represents directly the constituency from an electoral district.

How do patents and copyrights encourage innovation?
matrenka [14]

Patents and copyrights encourage innovation because they allow people to be rewarded for their creations. For example, if an individual creates a new type of cell phone they can receive a patent or copyright on that phone. This means the ability to make and sell this phone belongs solely to the individual or the company they represent.

Now if this cell phone becomes wildly popular and people start to buy it, it allows the creator to make a significant amount of money of their creation. Along with this, the person can sue any person who tries to take their design and sell the phone themselves.

Ultimately, patents and copyrights protect people who come up with amazing innovations and allows them to accumulate massive amounts of wealth.

How did the sit-down stoke DIFFER from a traditional strike in which workers walked off of their jobs ?
svetlana [45]

A sit down strike is a strike which has a somewhat nontraditional nature as it is when employees take "illegal" possession of their workplace by committing to a strike at their work stations. Furthermore, employees 'sit-down' at their station but do not work. It is considered a form of civil disobedience. This differs from a traditional strike as in traditional strikes workers walk off their jobs and therefore can be replaced whereas a sit-down strike causes work stations to be occupied and therefore does not allow employees to be replaced easily.
