Y = 3x - 5
y = 6x - 8

y = y
3x - 5 = 6x - 8
3x - 6x = -8 + 5
-3x = -3
x = -3/-3
x = 1

y = 3x - 5 ⇒ 3(1) - 5 = 3 - 5 ⇒ y = -2
y = 6x - 8 ⇒ 6(1) - 8 = 6 - 8 ⇒ y = -2

x = 1 ; y = -2 or (1,-2) is the point of intersection.

At a local restaurant, the amount of time that customers have to wait for their food is normally distributed with a mean of 36 m
Degger [83]

The probability that a randomly selected customer will have to wait between 32 minutes and 37 minutes is 59.81%

What is an equation?

An equation is an expression that shows the relationship between two or more numbers and variables.

Z score is given by:

z = (raw score - mean) / standard deviation

Given mean of 36 minutes and a standard deviation of 3 minutes.

For x = 32:

z = (32 - 36)/3 = -1.33

For x = 37:

z = (37 - 36)/3 = 0.33

P(-1.33 < z < 0.33) = P(z < 0.33) - P(z < -1.33) = 0.6179 - 0.0198 = 0.5981

The probability that a randomly selected customer will have to wait between 32 minutes and 37 minutes is 59.81%

Answer the two questions in the image above for brainliest!!
Elena-2011 [213]

Answer:

Complementary, 65

106+x=180

Step-by-step explanation:

Complementary angles add to 90, Supplementary angles add to 180

These are complementary angles

x+25 = 90

Subtract 25 from each side

x+25-25 =90-25

x = 65

The next questions they are supplementary angles because they add to 180

106+x=180

Subtract 106 from each side

106-106+x=180-106

x=74

Write an equation to represt this statement 34.7 less than z is 68.2
m_a_m_a [10]
Hoi!

Here's how you would write this.

z - 34.7 = 68.2

"Less than" indicates subtraction, but from what? "Less than z", so we're subtracting something from z. If you look at the equation, how would we calculate 34.7 less than z? To do this, we would subtract 34.7 from z. Since we're given our answer to the equation, just slap that into the equation after an "equals" symbol, and you're finished!
