It allows us to meet other people. For those who are shy but want to establish relationships, they can use social media to achieve that. Most social media sites encourage people to join them and make friends in doing so. They see online what social media has to offer if it suits their needs or not. They shouldn’t just jump but look around to see if they are getting something good from social media. If it is a good site with friends that you are sure you can trust, it can be refuge where you can discuss important things that you were afraid to ask. Just be careful not to leave yourself vulnerable online.

_____ could be partly responsible for rendering fire fighters and civilians incapable of self-rescue when exposed to smoke
Nina [5.8K]

When exposed to smoke, hydrogen cyanide may play a role in rendering firemen and bystanders incapable of performing self-rescue.

HCN is a toxin that spreads throughout the body; it is hazardous because it inhibits cytochrome oxidase, which stops cells from using oxygen. Loss of awareness, respiratory arrest, and finally death arise from inhibition of the last stage of electron transport in brain cells.

Higher HCN exposures cause cardiovascular collapse, tremors, cardiac arrhythmia (which may not manifest for two to three weeks after the fire exposure), coma, respiratory depression, and respiratory arrest. Inhaling minute concentrations of hydrogen cyanide can result in headaches, weakness, nausea, and vomiting. Larger doses might result in fainting, convulsions, gasping, fast pulse, irregular heartbeat, and even death. In general, the severity of the symptoms increases with the seriousness of the exposure.

alexira [117]

Answer: Eric's dad is using authoritative parenting style.

Explanation:

Parents who opt for authoritative parenting style have high standards, but also take child's emotional needs into consideration. Those parents define clear boundaries of what is acceptable and what is not, but maintain a healthy relationship with their children. Most importantly, they do not just expect blind obedience from their children, but explain the reasons behind their decisions. In this case, Eric's dad interrupts Eric in his game, but reasons with his son and explains why he is not allowed to continue playing.
