<u>Answer: </u>

Number of banners which can be made by senior class using 9 yards of banner material which they bought is 24.

<u>Solution: </u>

The banner material bought by senior class for their float = 9 yards

Number of banners which can be made using \frac{3}{8} yards = 1

So number of banner which can be made using 1 yard  = \frac{1}{\frac{3}{8}}=\frac{8}{3} banner

So number of banner which can be made using 1 \times 9 yards = \frac{8}{3} \times 9

= 24 banners

Hence number of banners which can be made by senior class using 9 yards of banner material which they bought is 24.

The diagonal of rectangle ABCD measures 2 inches in length What is the length of line segment AB?
sesenic [268]
Unfortunately, this item does not come with any figure to illustrate the lengths of the rectangle. However, it may be noted that by connecting two opposite vertices of a rectangle by a diagonal, we form a right triangle. We may then use the Pythagorean theorem to solve for the answer.
                                     a² + b² = c²
c in this equation is the length of the diagonal, a and b are the lengths of the sides.
