Short answer No.

Explanation

Suppose you have a sample of coins that have the date of production on them. They go from 1990 to 2000 inclusive. There are 100 coins in each year. That means there are 1100 coins because there are 11 years. Now you pick out 10 coins without replacement. Let's say all of them are from 1999. Then the mean is 1999.

If you start again and pick out 10 and get 3 years

4 from 2000

2 from 1995

4 from 1992

Whatever the mean is, it is not 1999. The mean of the second batch is 1995.8!

Answer:

Data from random samples will not always include the same values. Values are chosen randomly and they may or may not be the same. So means will vary among samples.

Step-by-step explanation:

Even though the data comes from the same population, different values are chosen with each sample.

While shopping at a clearance sale, Samantha finds a $60.00 dress on sale for 25% off. Samantha also has a 50% off coupon. Which
liq [111]

It seems most likely that ...

... Samantha will save $37.50 because she must first find the 25% sale price before taking the extra 50% reduction

_____

In the real world, it seems probable that Samantha will be offered the choice of using the coupon or the sale discount. If she chooses tht 50% coupon, her savings will be $30. If she chooses the marked sale discount, her savings will be $15.

The scenario above assumes she gets 50% off the sale price of $45, so saves $15+22.50 = $37.50 off the original price.
