The answer is 18/5.

change the mixed number to an improper fraction by multiplying the whole number 3 by the denominator of the fraction so 3*5=15

then add 15+3=18  (the 3 you added came from the numerator of the fraction)

then place 18 over 5

your improper fraction is 18/5
