Is the underlined clause independent or subordinate? I read a novel until the guests arrived.
Zarrin [17]
We can't see underlining here, but here, I think this will be helpful:

"I read a novel" would be the intependent clause: it does not need the other one to be complete.

"until the guests arrived" is the subordinate clause: it needs the independent, main clause to be complete.

One day, a person went to a horse racing area. Instead of counting the number of humans and horses, he counted 74 heads and 196
olchik [2.2K]

B.) 24 Horse and 50 Humans

All have one head each 24+50 = 74

Horses have 4 legs so 24*4= 96

Humans have 2 so 50*2= 100

Total legs: 196

Total heads: 74
