When we have the fractional exponent over any variable

we can separate the fractions

for example 3/5 can be written as 3/1 * 1/5 or 3 * 1/5

So here also

we can apply the same method

x^{\frac{3}{5} } = (x^3)^{\frac{1}{5}}

This the one way we can show this

There is also one more way that is radical representation

we shift the denominator of the exponent to the order of the radical

that is for example

a^\frac{x}{y}  = \sqrt[y]{a^x}

We can apply this to our problem

So

x^\frac{3}{5}= \sqrt[5]{x^3}

Answer:

\boxed{-\frac{43}{16}}

.

Step-by-step explanation:

-\frac{3}{16}  + (-\frac{5}{2} )

= -\frac{3}{16}  - \frac{5}{2}

= \frac{-3 - 5(8)}{16}

= \frac{-3 - 40}{16}

= -\frac{43}{16}
