48" means 48 inches

anyway

the perimiter is the distance around or the sum of the sides

perimiter=48=x+3+4x-1+2x-3=7x-1

48=7x-1
add 1 to both sides
49=7x
divide both sides by 7
7=x

x+3=7+3=10

4x-1=4(7)-1=28-1=27

2x-3=2(7)-3=14-3=11

the sides are 10", 27" and 11"
x=7

What is 7.7 kilograms x 17 answer must be in kilograms
Andrew [12]

Answer:

<u>The correct answer is 130.9 kilograms.</u>

Step-by-step explanation:

We want to calculate what is the result of 7.7 kilograms multiplied by 17 and the answer should be in kilograms

Result = 7.7 kilograms * 17

Result = 7.7 * 17

Result = 130.9

Result = 130.9 kilograms

<u>The result of the multiplication of 7.7 kilograms by 17 is exactly 130.9 kilograms</u>

The mean incubation time for a type of fertilized egg kept at 100.7100.7â°f is 2323 days. suppose that the incubation times are
Irina18 [472]
In this item, we have the mean incubation period of 23 days and the standard deviation is 22 days. We use z-score to determine the unknown in each of the items.

(a) less than 21 days.
       z-score = (23 - 21) / 22 = 1/11
This translates to a percentage of 53.6%

(b) z-score for 19 days.
     z-score = (23 - 19) / 22 = 2/11
This translates to a percentage of 57.2%.

    z-score for 23 days.
   z-score = (23 - 23)/ 22 = 0
This translates to a percentage of 50%.

The difference between the two numbers is only 7.2%

(c) z-score of 25.
     z-score = (23 - 25)/ 22 = -1/11
This translates to a percentage of 42.3%.

Then, subtract this value from 100 to give us the final answer of 57.2%.

3) Solve each equation using the quadratic formula. Show<br> a. x2 – 3x – 10 = 0
Naya [18.7K]

Answer:

<h2>x = -2 or x = 5</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

The quadratic formula of a quadratic equation

ax^2+bx+c=0\\\\\text{If}\ b^2-4ac>0\ \text{then the equation has two solutions}\ x=\dfrac{-b\pm\sqrt{b^2-4ac}}{2a}

\text{If}\ b^2-4ac=0\ \text{then the equation has one solution}\ x=\dfrac{-b}{2a}

\text{If}\ b^2-4ac

We have:

x^2-3x-10=0\to a=1,\ b=-3,\ c=-10\\\\b^2-4ac=(-3)^2-4(1)(-10)=9+40=49>0\\\\x=\dfrac{-(-3)\pm\sqrt{49}}{2(1)}=\dfrac{3\pm7}{2}\\\\x=\dfrac{3-7}{2}=\dfrac{-4}{2}=-2\\or\\x=\dfrac{3+7}{2}=\dfrac{10}{2}=5
