Some Eukaryotic cells have internal structures that are able to use photosynthesis to convert light energy into chemical energy

(as bonds in sugars). Why is this capability not found in all Eukaryotes? a. Once organisms are capable of eating and gaining their energy from consuming other organisms, energy from the sun is no longer needed in a contained ecosystem. b. The endosymbiotic event that brought chloroplasts into Eukaryotic cells actually happened after Eukaryotic lineages diverged so many lineages never actually possessed chloroplasts. c. The energy output from photosynthesis is not enough to support large and complex lifeforms d. Once mitochondria were incorporated into Eukaryotic cells, the need for chloroplasts was lessened e. As photosynthesis requires light, organisms that are active at night have less selective pressure to maintain chloroplasts within their cells. As such, after many generations, chloroplasts were lost from the cells and this is why we see so many organisms without them today.

Answer:

The correct answer is the letter b. The endosymbiotic event that brought chloroplasts into Eukaryotic cells actually happened after Eukaryotic lineages diverged so many lineages never actually possessed chloroplasts

Explanation:

The plastid is an organelle linked to membarna found in the cells of eukaryotic organisms, which contains pigments used in photosynthesis. Some eukaryotic organisms over time have inherited the ability to photosynthesize from cyanobacteria by secondary endosymbiosis or ingestion, and are able to capture and sequester photosynthetic cells and chloroplasts, this process is known as kleptoplasty.

When alcohol intake exceeds the body's ability to metabolize it, excess alcohol __________.
katen-ka-za [31]

Answer:

becomes accumulated in the blood

Explanation:

The processing of alcohol is constant in every individual. The rate at which alcohol stays in someone's body is determined by how much of it is consumed.

Alcohol enters the digestive system once ingested and travels to the stomach and small intestines. The amount of alcohol absorbed in the small intestine enters directly to the bloodstream. Once in the blood, alcohol is circulated with it. The liver is responsible for the metabolic elimination of most (about 95%) of ingested alcohol from the body. If an individual consumes more than this, the system becomes saturated, and the additional alcohol will accumulate in the blood and other tissues until it can be metabolized. If this happens frequently or too fast, damage to the brain and tissues of the body can occur.

Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) depends on the amount of alcohol consumed and the rate at which the individual's body metabolizes alcohol. Because the metabolism of alcohol by the body is constant, taking in alcohol at a rate higher than the rate of metabolizing it results in a cumulative effect and increase in the blood alcohol concentration.

It is important to note that, the more one drinks the longer alcohol stays in the system.
