Gonorrhea is a curable STI which however if left untreated can cause serious harm and may cause Pelvic inflammatory disease, inflammation of the epididymis, septic arthritis, and endocarditis. Many people exhibit no symptoms of being infected but still suffer the consequences. Condoms do lower the risk of contracting it, but can't eliminate it since gonorrhea can be spread through oral as well as genital or rectal intercourse. The answer is false, a person with gonorrhea should abstain from engaging in intercourse until cured.
