What programs did Congress pass from Truman's Fair Deal? What programs did Congress refuse?
Llana [10]

Some of Truman’s programs passed while some failed.  His Civil Rights program was opposed by Senators from the South but he managed to end segregation in the military as well as the government.  His health programs did not pass despite long discussions.  His welfare program did not hit its intended number but many were given benefits.  Labor and education also failed to pass.  His bill on housing did pass with the support of conservative senators and so did his bill for veterans.  He delayed too long in housing and it failed and federal reclamation and power projects failed because it was not enforced well.
