Equation 1: x + y = 40 ; therefore y = 40 - x
Equation 2: 25x + 15y = 900
Find x first:

25x + 15 (40 - x) = 900
25x + 600 - 15x = 900
10x = 900 - 600
x = 300÷10
x = 30 hours Chris needs to spend for tutoring job

y = 40 - 30
y = 10 hours Chris needs to spend for referencing job

horsena [70]

Answer:

The picture shows the answer on the graph

Step-by-step explanation:

-2=-3/4×(x-6)

Distribute -3/4 through the parenthesis

-2= -3/4x+9/2

Multiply both sides of the equation by 4

-8=-3x+18

Move the variable to the left side and change its sign

3x-8=18

Move constant to the right side and change its sign

3x=18+8

Add the numbers

3x=26

Divide both sides of the equation by 3

x=26/3

Alternative Form- x=8 2/3 or x=8.6

Herbert has sold 99, 37, 86, and 73 copeirs in the last 4 months, respectivly. How many copiers will he need to sell this month
jolli1 [7]

Answer:

Therefore 80 ceperies will he need to sell this month.

Step-by-step explanation:

Average: Average is the ratio of sum of all numbers to the total number present in the data.

Given that Herbert has sold 99, 37, 86 and 73 copeirs in the last 4 months.

Let he need to sell x copeirs in this month.

According to the problem,

\frac{99+37+86+73+x}{5}=75

⇒ 99+37+86+73+x= 75×5

⇒295 + x= 375

⇒x = 375 - 295

⇒ x= 80

Therefore 80 ceperies will he need to sell this month.
