The Supreme Court case McCulloch vs. Maryland had two major effects including:

A) Giving Congress the ability to create the national bank.

B) Reiterating the Supremacy clause.

Further Explanation:

In the McCulloch vs. Maryland case, it was decided that the US federal government did have the right to develop a national bank. The Supreme Court ruled that the power to create the national bank was protected by Article 1 Clause 8 of the US Constitution. This section contains the "Necessary and Proper" clause. This clause essentially states that the federal government has implied powers. Implied powers are rights that the government possess that are not necessarily written in the Constitution.

Along with this, the case stated that the state of Maryland cannot tax the National Bank. This deals with the Supremacy clause. This clause states that national laws trump state laws in terms of power.

What do the expectations for Marie Martin (after she became a widow) and for the girls who attended school tell us about the rol
guapka [62]

Answer:

She wanted to give an educational opportunity to Quebec girls, indigenous and settler daughters by opening various schools and convents dedicated exclusively to the education of girls.

Explanation:

Marie Guyart was born into a family of bakers with deep Christian roots. At the age of 17 she married Claude Martin, a silk worker, with whom she had a son of the same name whom she would later profess in the Benedictines. She was a widow when she was very young but did not decide to remarry. She felt the call to religious vocation and tried to enter the Carmelites or the Feuillants, but it was not until 1631 that she was accepted in the monastery of the Ursulines of Tours, of the congregation of Bordeaux. There it took the name of Marie de l'Incarnation.

In this monastery he had contact with Jesuit missionaries assigned to Canada. He opened the first Ursuline monastery in Canada, in Quebec, for the care of a school for indigenous girls. Before the Ursulines there were only schools for boys in New France. The Ursulines established convents and schools for girls taught reading, writing, arithmetic and homemaking. It was expected that graduates would become nuns or wives or mothers.

What is the traditlonal interpretation of why the french revolution started ?
gtnhenbr [62]

Answer:

Class conflict started the revolution

Explanation:

Large gaps between the rich and the poor in addition to extremely high taxes contributed to the French Revolution.

The excessive spending of the monarchy on wars and expansion of luxuries caused large deficits. To fix this problem, taxes were increased but the Church and high level lords did not pay taxes. Therefore the lowest classes were burdened with high taxes. The differences between the classes caused unrest and eventually revolution.
