Answer:

The two main issues of the Arab-Israeli conflict are Israeli security and Palestinian independence.

Explanation:

The Arab-Israeli conflict is a confrontation between a number of Arab countries, as well as Arab paramilitary radical groups of the Palestinian territories controlled by Israel, on the one hand, and the State of Israel, on the other. Although the State of Israel was created only in 1948, in fact, the history of the conflict spans about a century, beginning at the end of the 19th century, when the political Zionist movement was created, which laid the foundation for the struggle of Jews for their own state.

After the collapse of the Ottoman Empire as a result of its defeat in the First World War, the conflict between the Zionist Jews and the Arab population of Palestine was reduced mainly to the territorial claims of both sides on the British Mandate of Palestine. In the course of the situation in the second quarter of the 20th century, the religious and cultural components that reinforced ethnic hatred were added to the geopolitical component. In 1948, neighboring Arab countries declared war on the newly created Jewish state. Thus, the conflict went beyond Palestine and grew into a conflict between Israel and all other Arab states in the region.

Which of the following is an advantage of a presidential government?
kakasveta [241]

Answer:

Option A. An advantage of a presidential government is that the President is elected independently of the legislature.

Explanation:

A presidential government system is a democratic and republican system of government in which a President is chosen directly by the people and becomes the Head of State, and the leader of the Executive Branch, that is separated from the Legislative Branch. An advantage of a presidential government system is that the President is elected independently of the legislature, and by being elected directly by the voters, it gives the President a more legitimated and stable power. Also this means that the President is chosen for a specific and determined term, which does not occur with the figure of a Prime Minister, for example. All of these facts make the Presidential system a more stable and direct way of government.
