He is scared of Marleys ghost but shows little belief in the paranormal or what Marley is telling him. In Act 2 scrooge is frightened by the ghosts at first but eventually opens up a bit and listens to them. Eventually scrooge starts to understand the true meanings of Christmas and shows more emotion towards the situation. He is quickly brought back to reality and realization after being with all 3 ghost of christmas past, present, and future. He wakes up with a new meaning to Christmas and is kind and joyouss of the holiday.
