Let x = time of burn , y = length
x = 3 , y = 17
x = 5 , y = 15
m = (15 - 17)/(5 - 3) = -2/2 = -1
y - 17 = -1(x - 3)
y = -x + 20

at x = 8 => y = 12 in Hope it Helps :)

the volume of cube A is 216 cubic inches. the length of each edge in cube B is 2 inches longer than the length of each edge in c
Aleonysh [2.5K]
If the side lengths of B are 2x as long as the side lengths of A then the volume of B should be the volume of A^2
216^2=46,656
46,656-216=46,440

This can be more easily displayed with smaller numbers

If cube X were 2*2*2 then the volume would be 8
If cube Y were 4*4*4 then the volume would be 64
8(volume of cube X)^2=64(volume of cube Y)

A scale model of a tower is 24 inches tall and 18 inches wide. If the height of the actual tower is 60 feet, what is its width?
alex41 [277]

Answer:

45 feet

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the width of the model, we need to find the scale of the model to the actual tower.

Since we know the height of both towers, we can use that as the basis.

24 inches : 60 feet

12 inches : 30 feet

6 inches : 15 feet

So the width of the tower is 18 inches wide.

18 inches will then be equal to 12 + 7 inches : 30 + 15 feet

18 inches : 45 feet
