Answer:

d. Honore Daumier.

Explanation:

Honore Daumier was a French painter, sculptor, caricaturist etc who painted the painting in question. This oil painting <em>"The Third Class Carriage"</em> was made in 1864 and is currently in the possession of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

The painting is part of Daumier's interested artwork related to the working classes. He painted this depicting the life of the working classes, tired looking men and women cramped in a small compartment in the train. The background also shows numerous rows of men and women in the same state, unable to afford better tickets. The prominent part of the painting shows a woman feeding her baby, alongside an older woman holding a basket and a young boy sleeping soundly but uncomfortably.

With the invention of the printing press the knowledge was made easier to spread which led to greater education and greater social mobility. This also made the Bible accessible to more people. People were looking for more personalized approach to their spiritual needs. It was Martin Luther who made openly challenged the teachings of the Catholic Church by posting his famous thesis against the selling of indulgences. lutik1710 [3]
The primary economic and political conditions following world war 1 that  encouraged dictatorships were sinking economies and harsh reparations imposed on Germany for starting the war. These conditions led to humiliation that facilitated the rise of dictators who "took charge".
