The reproduction and cell multiplication serve many purposes to cell-like:

1. Maintain continuity of species: Reproduction ensures the continuity of the species on earth and should not become extinct.

2. Helps in the survival of organism: reproduction helps in the survival of the organism by transferring its heredity material to the offsprings.

3. Cell growth: the cell division helps in the growth of the organism.
