Answer:

Hence, g(x) is inverse of f(x)

Step-by-step explanation:

The provided function are f(x)=5x-25 and g(x)=\frac{1}{5}x+5

To check g(x) is the inverse of f(x)

Plug the formula for g(x) into every instance of "x" in the formula for f (x):

(fog)(x) = f(g(x))

           = 5(\frac{1}{5}x+5)-25

           = x+25-25

            = x

Now, plug  the formula for f (x) into every instance of "x" in the formula for g(x) :

(gof)(x) = g(f(x))

           = \frac{1}{5}x+5

           = \frac{1}{5}(5x-25)+5

           = x - 5 + 5

            = x

Both ways we get "x"

So, both functions are inverse of each other.

Hence, g(x) is inverse of f(x) .

Convert the polar equation to rectangular form: <br><br> r = 2 / [1 + sin(theta)]

R = 2 / (1 + sin <span>θ)

Using the following relations:

R = sqrt (x^2 + y^2)
sin </span>θ = y/R
<span>
R = 2 / (1 + y/R)
R</span>(1 + y/R<span>) = 2
</span><span>R + y = 2
R = 2 - y
sqrt(x^2 + y^2) = 2 - y

Squaring both sides:
x^2 + y^2 = (2 - y)^2
x^2 + y^2 = 4 - 4y + y^2

x^2 + 4y - 4

forsale [732]

Answer:

y=10.1(x)

x=\frac{y}{10.1}

Step-by-step explanation:

It is said in the problem that y would represent how much money she earns and x represents the number hours she works.

so it also said that the amount of Jessa earns is proportional to the amount of time she works .

finding y will be easy dividing 252.50 by 25 will give you 10.1

so how did we get that equation

y will represent the amount and x will represent the hours

A person bought some cosmetics from wholesale market at the rate of Rs 360 per dozen he sells it at Rs 80 a pair find the gain p
marusya05 [52]

Answer:

33.33%

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to calculate the <u>unit selling price and cost of each cosmetics.</u>

If a person bought some cosmetics from wholesale market at the rate of Rs 360 per dozen., then for 1 cosmetics, we will say;

x = 1 cosmetic

since 360 = 12 cosmetic

cross multiply

12x = 360

x = 360/12

x = 30

Hence the unit cost price of the cosmetics will be Rs. 30

Similarly, if he sells it at Rs 80 a pair, then he sold one cosmetic at 80/2 = Rs. 40 (a pair is 2 cosmetics)

Selling price per unit = Rs. 40

Cost price per unit = Rs. 30

percent gain = SP-CP/CP * 100%

percent gain = 40-30/30 * 100

percent gain = 10/30 * 100

percent gain = 100/3

percent gain = 33.33%

Hence the percentage gain is 33.33%
