One part of the question doesn't matter, which is "There are 60 calories in 1/8 cup of honey" because he is asking how much cups of honey will be used in 15 cakes.
If 1 cake uses 3/4 cups of honey, we should multiply 3/4 by 15, in order to get 11 1/4 (Which is 45/4 as a fraction, or 11.25 as a decimal.0

I hope this helps! :>

For the first equation, the answer is C) completing the square.
For the second equation, the answer is B) zero product property.

For the first equation, we can easily complete the square by finding half of b and squaring it; then we can take the square root of both sides and solve the equation.

For the second equation, since it is already factored, we use the zero product property to solve it.

Let p=x^2-2 which equation is equivalent to (x^2-2)^2+18=9x^2-18 in terms of p
Bad White [126]

Answer:

The equivalent equation is p^2 + 18 = 9p

Step-by-step explanation:

p is given by the following relation:

p = x^2 - 2

And we are given the following equation:

(x^2 - 2)^2 + 18 = 9x^2 - 18

On the right side, we can simplify. So

(x^2 - 2)^2 + 18 = 9(x^2 - 2)

Replacing x^2 - 2 by p, the equation is:

p^2 + 18 = 9p
