3/(4x+3) + 21/(8x^2-14-15)

The LCD is )(4x+3)*8x^2-14x-15).

Multiply each fraction by the LCD.

[3(8x^2-14x-15)+21(4x+3)]/LCD

Simplify the numerator.

(24x^2+42x+18)/LCD

Factor numerator.

[6(4x+3)(x+1)]/(4x+3)(8x^2-14x-15)

Factor (8x^2-14x-15).

[6(4x+3)(x+1)]/(4x+3)(4x+3)(2x-5)

[6(4x+3)(x+1)]/(4x+3)^2(2x-5)

Cancel out common terms in the numerator and denominator.

Answer:

6(x + 1)/(2x - 5)(4x + 3)

Segment AB has and endpoint at A (2,5) and a mod point at M (4,0), find the other endpoint (B).
steposvetlana [31]

Answer:

The other endpoint B= (6, -5)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

One end point A=  (2,5)

Mid point M = (4,0)

To Find:

The Other point =?

Solution:

According to midpoint formula, if (x1, y1) and (x2, y2) are two ends of a line then it’s midpoint is given by :

M(x,y)= \frac{x1+ x2}{2} ,\frac{y1+ y2}{2}

Using the above formula

4=\frac{2+x_2}{2}..................................(1)

0=\frac{5+y_2}{2}..................................(2)

Solving equation(1)

tex]8=2+x_2[/tex]

x_2=8-2

x_2=6

Solving equation(2)

0\times 2=\frac{5+y_2}{2}

0=5+y_2

-5=y_2

Thus x_2=6 and  y_2 =-5
