hi

a ( b +c) =  a*b +a*c

here a = -3

        b = -4x

        c = +5

so :

-3 ( -4x +5)  =  -3*-4x + -3* 5

                   =  -12x + (-15)

                  = -12x -15

as I cannot add  -12x and  -15   ( they are two differents sort of figures )

so it's done

allsm [11]
If angle b and angle e are the same, I guess you can write b=e ?
So you’ll have :
3x = 6x - 39
0 = 6x - 3x - 39
39 = 3x
x = 39/3
x = 13
