So if you want to solve for c, the best thing to do is isolate the variable. So I personally don't enjoy dealing with fractions that much until the very end, so I am going to multiple the entire equation by $d*g$ to eliminate the fraction. So now the equation is $cg+2dg=fd$. In order to isolate the c variable, subtract both sides by $2dg$, which makes it $cg=fd-2dg$. Now divide both sides by g, $c=\frac{fd-2dg}{g}$. So that's what c equals in terms of f, d and g.
