Stephanie has a homeowners insurance policy for her $355,000 home with an annual premium of $0.42 per $100 of value and a deduct

ible of $500. Under this policy, in the event of a major mishap, Stephanie would have a total annual out-of-pocket expense of [($355,000/100) x $0.42] + $500 = $1,991
Stephanie would like to lower her premium by increasing her deductible. If Stephanie wants to increase her deductible to $1000, what annual premium would result in an annual out-of-pocket expense that is about the same as her current plan?
a. $0.16 per $100 of value
b. $0.28 per $100 of value
c. $0.35 per $100 of value

Answer:

Amount of insurance policy for Stephanie = $ 355,000

Annual premium = $ 0.42 per $100

Deductible amount = $ 500

Total Annual out of pocket expense = [($355,000/100) x $0.42] + $500

                         = $1,991

Now, New Deductible amount that Stephanie wants = $ 1000

Let annual premium be x .

→\frac{3,55,000x}{100}  + $ 1,000 = 1900

→ 3550 x = 1900 - 1000

→3550 x= 900

→ x = \frac{900}{3550}

x = 0.2535(approx)

x = $0.25 per $100

Rewrite in vertex form y=x2+2x+6
Luden [163]

Answer:

y = (x+1)^2+5

Step-by-step explanation:

Add or subtract from both sides to complete the square;

y=x^2+2x+6; Subtract 5 from both sides

y-5 = x^2+2x+1; Factor;

y - 5 = (x+1)^2; Add 5 back to both sides;

y = (x+1)^2+5

Given in the figure below, find the values of X and Z.
galina1969 [7]

Answer:

x = 6 , z = 79

Step-by-step explanation:

(8x + 53) and (6x + 43) are adjacent angles and sum to 180° , that is

8x + 53 + 6x + 43 = 180 , that is

14x + 96 = 180 ( subtract 96 from both sides )

14x = 84 (divide both sides by 14 )

x = 6

Then

6x + 43 = 6(6) + 43 = 36 + 43 = 79

z and 79 are vertical angles and congruent , then

z = 79

Which of the following equations is paralllel to the line y+3x+1 and passes through the point (6,-3)
RideAnS [48]

Answer:

y=3x-21

Step-by-step explanation:

a line is parallel if the slopes of the lines are the same

so that means that out line should look something like this

y=3x+b

then, we use our point given to find b

-3=18+b

b=-21

the equation of out line is y=3x-21
