The answer is C: Loking up from his computer monitor ---mopped his brow, exhaled sharply, and picked up the phone.

The predicate of a sentence is the part that modifies the subject in some way. It contains a verb and can include a modifier, and it explains what the subject does. Complete predicates are all the words in a sentence that are not part of the complete subject, and that give more information about the subject.

How do I use claims and
counterclaims?
please write in 3 to 4 sentences
ruslelena [56]
You use claims as an introduction, it must be a fact proven with evidence and analysis. Counterclaims can be put anywhere besides the conclusion, and it is an opposition argument for the claim. You can use counterclaims to rebut a claim and go against it.
(If that makes sense)
