Answer: b. granite.

The continental crust is made largely of granite.

Explanation:

Granite is an igneous rock which consists of grains. It can be white, pink or gray in colour depending on its mineralogy.  It is made up of feldspar and quartz with little mica, amphiboles and other minerals. It is buried beneath kilometers of rock and sediment in order to produce enough heat to melt rock during its formation.  It is used to make paving stone, curbing, stair treads, building veneer, floor tiles and so on and also the continental crust is made largely of it.

The HIGHER the temperature at which magma cools:
shtirl [24]

Answer:

he larger the crystals and the more mafic the composition

Explanation:

Temperature at which minerals crystallize can determine the nature of composition of the rock and the crystal sizes.

  • When a magma crystallizes at high temperature, the mineral grains have enough time to aggregate around a nuclei.
  • This makes the sizes big.
  • Mafic minerals are know to crystallize at high temperatures.
  • Felsic minerals differentiate at low temperatures.

A short note on Roaring Fortilies??
lbvjy [14]

Answer:

Sailors call the latitudes between 40 and 50 degrees south of the equator the Roaring Forties. ... Warm air moving poleward (on both sides of the equator) is the result of nature trying to reduce the temperature difference between the equator and at the poles created by uneven heating from the sun.
