Answer: b. granite.

The continental crust is made largely of granite.

Explanation:

Granite is an igneous rock which consists of grains. It can be white, pink or gray in colour depending on its mineralogy.  It is made up of feldspar and quartz with little mica, amphiboles and other minerals. It is buried beneath kilometers of rock and sediment in order to produce enough heat to melt rock during its formation.  It is used to make paving stone, curbing, stair treads, building veneer, floor tiles and so on and also the continental crust is made largely of it.

Where are glaciers found? Check all the apply In the ocean In the tropics At earth's pole At high latitudes At high altitudes
vfiekz [6]

The correct answers are:

- At Earth's pole;

- At high latitudes;

- At high altitudes;

The glaciers are a frozen ice mass that is slowly moving from a higher toward a lower region. For them to exist, specific conditions are required, the most important of which is that the climate is very cold throughout the whole year. The places that provide suitable conditions for the existence of glaciers are the Antarctica (where most of them are located), the island of Greenland, as well as the very high mountains that have cold weather throughout the whole year, especially at their highest parts, like the Alps and the Himalayas.

In what ways are the sierra nevada mountains and the andes mountains the same in terms of mountain formation? quilet
castortr0y [4]
They are both on the end of the Pacific rim. They both have an above average number of volcanoes, and they are steeper and more narrow then other mountain ranges. This is a result of their both straddling and colliding continental plates and being on top of very active geological fault lines.
