You would use compare and contrast because you are comparing a black bear to a polar bear and discussing the differences between the two. The similarities of the black bear and the polar bear are they both are bears, they both have fur, and they both are mammals. Some differences are that polar bears lives in a cold habitat, and black bears lives in a forest type habitat. Also black bears have a smaller nose and larger ears.
Hope this helps you! :)
Okay... judging by the fact that you need help with this question... you probably read the spark-notes version of Hamlet LOL! But that's okay I feel you because I did the same thing.
But basically at this point in the story, Ophelia has lost her mind. She's talking all kinds of nonsense. The reason why is a combination of the fact that Prince Hamlet rejected her. AAAAAAND Hamlet kinda sorta killed her father. But she doesn't know that. She just know's that he's been killed. And it pushed her over the edge.
So the answer to your question is the third option. Ophelia has gone coo-coo for CoCo Puffs.
Hope this helped.
Structure of Poetry. Poetry is literature written in stanzas and lines that use rhythm to express feelings and ideas. Poets will pay particular attention to the length, placement, and grouping of lines and stanzas. ... Lines or whole stanzas can be rearranged in order to create a specific effect on the reader.
Before he reached home, Odysseus had to avoid the disastrous effect of the Lotus plant. Thus, he had to flee the Lotus-eaters, fight with Sirens, and confront Charybdis and Scylla.
This sentence is complex because it contains both a dependant and an independent clause. Do not be fooled by the addition of "however" or the length of the sentence.
If you need reasoning, here you are:
Simple: has one independent clause
Compound: has two independent clauses (either joined by a coordinating conjunction or a semicolon)
Complex: contains a dependant and an independent clause
Compound-Complex: Contains at least two independent clauses and one dependent clause
Hope this helps! If you have any questions about what any of the words that I used in my explanation mean (such as an independent clause and a dependent clause), feel free to ask.
