Suppose a data broker correctly identifies that your grandmother is addicted to playing online hearts. From its business intelli

gence, it knows that frequent hearts players are strong prospects for online gambling. Accordingly, the data broker refers your grandmother’s data to an online gambling vendor. Grandma gets hooked and loses all of her savings, including money earmarked for your college tuition. Is the broker’s behavior ethical? If he doesn’t know where the data is going, should controls be put on how data is distributed? How would these be imposed? Is it the online gambling vendor who causes the problem? Is there a solution for this? Suppose the online gambling vendor blames the problem on grandma’s love of playing games. Is the vendor absolved from making any ethical decisions?

Write a program to read customer number, Name, loan amount, interest rate and time of repayment. Calculate and display the EMI .
kompoz [17]

Answer:

The programming language is not stated; however, I'll answer this question using Python programming language.

This program doesn't make use of comments (See Explanation Section for detailed explanation)

The program is as follows

name = input("Customer Name: ")

number = input("Customer Number: ")

loan = float(input("Loan Amount: "))

rate = float(input("Interest Rate: "))

time = int(input("Repayment Time [in months] : "))

Interest = loan * (1 + rate/100) ** time

EMI = (Interest + loan)/time

print("EMI: ", end='')

print(round(EMI,2))

Explanation:

This line prompts for customers' name

name = input("Customer Name: ")

This line prompts for customers'number

number = input("Customer Number: ")

This line prompts for loan amount

loan = float(input("Loan Amount: "))

The line prompts for the interest rate

rate = float(input("Interest Rate: "))

This line prompts for time of loan repayment

time = int(input("Repayment Time [in months] : "))

Using the given formula, this line calculates the interest amount

Interest = loan * (1 + rate/100) ** time

The EMI is calculated using this line

EMI = (Interest + loan)/time

This line prints the string "EMI: " without the quotes

print("EMI: ", end='')

The last line of the program prints the calculated value of EMI, rounding it up to 2 decimal places

print(round(EMI,2))

Answer:

  1. import java.util.Scanner;
  2. public class Main {
  3.    public static void main(String[] args) {
  4.        Scanner input = new Scanner(System.in);
  5.        System.out.print("Input first string: ");
  6.        String string1 = input.nextLine();
  7.        System.out.print("Input second string: ");
  8.        String string2 = input.nextLine();
  9.        System.out.print("Start index for first string: ");
  10.        int i1 = input.nextInt();
  11.        System.out.print("Start index for second string: ");
  12.        int i2 = input.nextInt();
  13.        System.out.print("Number of characters to be compared: ");
  14.        int n = input.nextInt();
  15.        if(string1.regionMatches(true, i1, string2, i2, n)){
  16.            System.out.println("The strings are equal.");
  17.        }
  18.        else{
  19.            System.out.println("The strings are not equal.");
  20.        }
  21.    }
  22. }

Explanation:

The solution code is written in Java.

Firstly create a Scanner object (Line 5).

Next, use the Scanner object and nextLine method to get user input for  string1 and string 2 (Line 7 - 11 )

Next, proceed to get the start index for first and second string using nextInt (Line 14 and Line 17) and followed with number of characters to be compared (Line 20).

Use the regionMatches method by passing all the input values as argument (Line 22) and if we pass the sample input we shall get the true and the program shall display the message "The strings are equal." (Line 22- 23)

What is a warm site? Multiple Choice a separate facility that does not have any computer equipment but is a place where employee
Alex777 [14]

Answer:

A SEPARATE FACILITY WITH COMPUTER EQUIPMENT THAT REQUIRES INSTALLATION AND CONFIGURATION.

Explanation:

A backup site or work area recovery site is a location where an organization can relocate following a disaster, such as fire, flood, terrorist threat or other disruptive event. There are three types: hot site, cold site and warm site.

A warm site is a type of facility an organization uses to recover its technology infrastructure when its primary data center goes down.

Warm sites might have backups on hand, but they may not be complete this means that a warm site is configured with power, phone, network etc. may have servers and other resources. But a warm site is not ready for immediate switch over because it still needs to be installed and configured.

Therefore, a warm site is A SEPARATE FACILITY WITH COMPUTER EQUIPMENT THAT REQUIRES INSTALLATION AND CONFIGURATION.
