To my understanding, the nucleolus synthesizes DNA into rRNA, as well as completed proteins are assembled with rRNA and sent out

to assemble into a ribosome.
My question, is doesnt rRNA have to be transcribed by a ribosome first before it becomes a functioning protein that can be a part of a ribosome? I know that is how it works for m and tRNA, so is rRNA different?

A population that is isolated in a remote environment is still able to experience genetic variation How could genetic variation
goblinko [34]

A mistake in DNA replication before meiosis produces an organism that is better able to outrun predators.

Explanation:

The genetic variation results from the different alleles of a population. The mutation or mistake in DNA replication would cause gene variants which may be beneficial. The variation in the DNA sequence of genome results in variants in small population.

Genetic variation is the cause of natural selection and eventually, evolution takes place with beneficial traits.

It is mentioned in the question that resulting offspring having received the mutant allele could result in better surviving capabilities or phenotypic traits as they are able to outrun predators.

Your aunt grows sprouts hydroponically. from where do her plants get nutrients?
larisa [96]
Hydroponics way of growing, is way of farming, in which plants are grown in nutrient rich water. So, in Hydroponic growing of sprouts, sprouts get their nutrients from the nutrients supply like liquid fertilizers which are mixed with the water. It is one of the advantage of hydroponic means of growing because, unlike in soil system, the plants root does not have to work hard to get nutrient from underground. The easy availability of nutrients and other condition like water, pH level etc makes plants grow faster are fuller.

Also, advancement of technology have made it possible to prepare built-in hybrid hydroponic system which have multiple ways of delivering nutrient to specific plants.
