Darwin's finches are a gathering of around fifteen types of passerine winged animals. They are outstanding for their exceptional decent variety in nose frame and capacity. They are regularly named the subfamily Geospizinae or tribe Geospizini.
After an immense dry spell, the greater hooked finches lived and the littler ones passed on. So two years after the fact finches har mouths that were somewhat greater.

What is the term for a top predator that contributes to the maintenance of species diversity among its animal prey?
andreev551 [17]

Answer:

Option A, keystone species

Explanation:

Keystone species are responsible for controlling any species from becoming dominant over all other species. The keystone species are found at the top of all the energy pyramids and food chains.

They control the explosion of population of prey and hence regulate the overall ecological diversity.

Some common example of keystone species is as follows –

Bison, prairie dog, large mammalian predators,

Hence, option A is correct

What amino acids are non degenerate?
klasskru [66]

Answer:A position of a codon is said to be a non-degenerate site if any mutation at this position results in amino acid substitution. ... There are three amino acids encoded by six different codons: serine, leucine, and arginine. Only two amino acids are specified by a single codon each.

Explanation:I'm kinda confused about your questions, I think this is what your asking for. Hope this helps, if not. I'll try redoing it! :))

Select all the statements that are true regarding enzymes. they allow reactions to proceed faster. they are biological catalysts
aivan3 [116]
Technically, enzymes are specialized proteins that help cells do some chemical reactions. Most chemical reactions don't start spontaneously, even if they are energetically favored. For example, take a paper that burns (combustion). This reaction gives off energy but one does not see paper combusting without outside intervention; one needs to put in some energy for the reaction to start. This energy is called activation energy. The role of the enzymes is to reduce the activation energy of a specific reaction (or at most some reactions). Thus, reactions that would not take place without an enzyme or would be very slow, are accelerated a lot since the activation barrier goes down. Hence, the correct statements are that enzymes speed up reactions, enzymes are biological catalysts (anything that speeds up a reaction is a catalyst to that reaction; enzymes are also biological in nature), their reactions are referred to as catalyzed (since there is a catalyst present).
The last sentence is false since enzymes decrease the energy of activation for the reaction they are catalyzing (if they increased it, this would make the reaction harder and slower).
