There are 70 people attending a high school baseball game. The difference between the number of women and men at the game is 18.

Let x represent the number of women. Let y represent the number of men.
This system of equations represents this situation:

x+y=70

x−y=18

Adding the systems of equations together, we get
2x=88
Dividing both sides by 2, we get x, or the number of women, to be 44.
Plugging that into either equation, we get
44-y=18. Adding y to both sides and subtracting 18, we get y, or the number of men, to be 26.

notice that for the perimeter we didn't include the segment BC, because the perimeter of a figure is simply the outer borders.

What fatal mistake, from a Naturalist's perspective, does the man in Jack London's "To Build a Fire" make?
NISA [10]
The answer would be A. He doesn't acknowledge the power of nature. He believes that he has more time and resources but of course, this was not the case and the cold had overtaken him.
