People who sought “normalization” for individuals with mental illnesses wanted to

It is of extreme difficulty to acknowledge mental illness since it would mean the individual is part of a stigmatized population. It's troublesome to admit the emotional, cognitive and behavioral issues because of the reaction of society. The purpose of normalizing mental illness allows the sufferer to feel more comfortable sharing the symptoms without having to worry about the possible stigmatization from friends and family. This would allow prompt treatment and a fast return to wellbeing.

People who sought “normalization” for individuals with mental illnesses wanted to educate the public about the stigma that exists in order to prevent the possible stereotypes, discrimination and prejudice that they suffer in society due to the wrong understanding of the subject.

Unfortunately in our society mental illness is still not fully comprehended because many individuals are unaware of the causes and how it impacts daily life.

What were the issues in the election of 1800, and what were the reactions of the losers and the victors?
sammy [17]
The US presidential election of 1800 is most remembered because of the controversy it went through. This election was mostly based on domestic affairs and foreign affairs played a negligible or no part at all. The two presidential candidates, Jefferson and Aaron Burr were tied with 73 ballots in their favour. John Adams the Federalist got 65 Electoral votes in his favor. Later during the 36th ballot in the House of Representatives Jefferson won and became president. Aaron was chosen the Vice President. So both the winner and loser were satisfied.
