Pressure is inversely proportional to volume (at constant temperatures.)

Reducing the volume of a container will increase the gas pressure inside because there will be more collisions of the gas particles with the walls of the container.

5. Find the mass of a car that is traveling at a velocity of 35 m/s West.
sattari [20]

Answer:

m = 9795.9 kg

Explanation:

v = 35 m/s

KE = 6,000,000 J

Plug those values into the following equation:

KE = \frac{1}{2} mv^{2}

6,000,000 J = (1/2)(35^2)m

---> m = 9795.9 kg

Gasoline burns in the cylinder of an automobile engine. During the combustion reaction, the production of gas forces the piston
serg [7]

Answer:

\Delta U = 1640 J

Explanation:

As we know by first law of thermodynamics that for ideal gas system we have

Heat given = change in internal energy + Work done

so here we will have

Heat given to the system = 2.2 kJ

Q = 2200 J

also we know that work done by the system is given as

W = 560 J

so we have

\Delta U = Q - W

\Delta U = 2200 - 560

\Delta U = 1640 J
