In part b) you are asked to find the area of the compound figure. I see you have already split the figure into two rectangles, which is correct.

To find the area of a rectangle use length times width.

Left rectangle: 33 ft * 10 ft = 330 ft^2

Right rectangle: 30 ft * 25 ft = 750 ft^2

Add the areas together: 330 + 750 = 1,080 ft^2

<h3>b) A = 1,080 ft^2</h3>

In question 10, you are asked to find the surface area of the rectangular prism.

You are given the formula for the SA, p * h + 2B.

p = perimeter of base, h = height, B = area of base

168 * 68 + 2(1,764) = 14,952 mm^2

<h3>SA = 14,952 mm^2</h3>
