Answer:

1. x=6 2. x=10 3. x= 4.5 4. x= 24

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Remove the constant in the equation ( the number that don't have letters or are behind the equal sign) by subtracting the number to itself and the sum, then divide the coefficient by the remaining number in the answer (2x divided by 2, 12 divided by 2)

2. Remove the coefficient on both sides again (15), then remove the coefficient again with division (3t)

3. Remove the coefficient on both sides again (5) , then remove the coefficient again with division (4d)

4. This one might be tricky for you, remove the constant once again and after that remove the coefficient by multiplying it by its inverse (opposite, so if you have 1/4 the inverse is 4/1) you multiple the coefficient by the inverse to cancel it out, then do the same with the remaining number of the other side of the equal sign.

Event the die comes up at most 2
hjlf
X. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6 are all the possible events when rolling a die. If it is a fair die then the probability of rolling any number is 1/6. So the probability of rolling at most a two is p(1)+ p(2)= 2/6 or 1/3

What is the perimeter of a polygon with vertices at (−2, 1) ,  (−2, 4) , (2, 7) ,  (6, 4) , and (6, 1)
Marina CMI [18]
Check the picture below.

now, the sides at the bottom, the straight sides, are plain to see how long each is, you can pretty much count the units off the grid.

so, the only ones you need the distance formula or pythagorean theorem is the slanted ones, there are two, and both are equal, so, just get the length of one, and double it up.

\bf \textit{distance between 2 points}\\ \quad \\
\begin{array}{lllll}
&x_1&y_1&x_2&y_2\\
%  (a,b)
&({{ 2}}\quad ,&{{ 7}})\quad
%  (c,d)
&({{ 6}}\quad ,&{{ 4}})
\end{array}\qquad
%  distance value
d = \sqrt{({{ x_2}}-{{ x_1}})^2 + ({{ y_2}}-{{ y_1}})^2}
\\\\\\
d=\sqrt{(6-2)^2+(4-7)^2}\implies d=\sqrt{4^2+(-3)^2}\implies d=\sqrt{16+9}
\\\\\\
d=\sqrt{25}\implies d=5

double that up, and both slanted sides are 10, the perimeter is all sides summed up.

I’ve attached my work below for #4
5) 8% is equivalent to 8 cents so each item was $1.08
Than you know he spent 16.20 so you divided
1.08/16.20 which equals 15
So he got 15 items
6) the moon is 250,000 miles away which is about driving around earth 10 times which would take 6 months (not sure about this one)

The description below represents Function A and the table represents Function B:
ICE Princess25 [194]
The expression in A is equal to:
                      y = 8 + 3x
It can be observed that the equation is in the slope-intercept form which is equal to,
                     y = mx + b
where m is slope and b is intercept.

The slope and intercept therefore of this equation of the line are equal to 3 and 8, respectively.

For Part B:
The slope of the line can be calculated through the equation,
                           m = (y₂ - y₁) / (x₂ - x₁)
Substituting,
                           m = (5 - 2)/ (0 - -1) = 1.5

The intercept, b, is the value of y when x = 0. From the tabulation, y = 5 when x = 0. Thus, the intercept is equal to 5.

Comparing the slopes and intercepts of the equations, we can say that the slope of the second is only half that of the first and the intercept of the second is 3 less than that of the first equation.
