The scientist should test and study target area in order to identify groundwater. The observed landscape can provide information about the occurrence of shallow groundwater. For example, groundwater is more often found under valleys than under hills. Another indicator of groundwater are “waterloving” plants. The presence of groundwater is also under the areas where water is at the surface such as springs or seeps.

Features of the water that can be observed are:

Composition of water-depends on the nature of the soil, so for example if water is circulating in a sandy soil it is acidic and has a few minerals,

Temperature of the water-it varies with season (surface water) or it is usually constant (groundwater),

Turbidity- in surface water, level variables while in ground water is low

Color of water-depends on its composition.

Why is reabsorption important
harina [27]
The purpose of the kidneys is to filter waste from the blood, and other things like water, glucose, amino acids, some minerals/vitamins, and other small molecules can also get filtered out. Reabsorbtion of water in the kidneys allows the body to maintain a fluid balance (drink a lot and you pee more cause you have an excess of water). As for the other aforementioned things, they're often needed for metabolic processes (such as certain enzyme functions) so loosing it to waste decreases efficiency and efficacy of other bodily processes.

What are the phenotypes of the F1 generation snapdragons?
AVprozaik [17]

The phenotypes of snapdragons of F1 generation had pink flowers only.

Explanation:

The crossing of snapdragon with red flowers and white flowers as well led to the production of F1 offspring of hybrid quality having pink flowers only. This F1 phenotype under goes pollination and results in F2 phenotype with a ratio of 1 red, 1 white and 2 pink flower.

This is incomplete dominance as the phenotypes of parental plant, as in the white and red flowered plant reappear in the F2 generation.

true or false? Stratified squamous epithelium forms the surface of the skin, the lining of the mouth, and the lining of the esop
vagabundo [1.1K]

Answer: True

Explanation:

The type of epithelium well suits the areas where there is a constant abrasion, and due to this fact the toughest and the thickest layer can be sequentially sloughed off and will be replaced before the layers in the basement will be exposed.

It is the outermost layer of the skin, lining of the mouth, vagina and esophagus.

The given statement is true, that the area like esophagus, vagina and mouth are covered with stratified squamous epithelium.
