Nature seems to have taken a particular

care to disseminate its blessings between the

different regions of the world with an eye

to this mutual intercourse and traffic among

mankind, that the natives of the several parts

of the globe might have a kind of dependence

upon each other, and are united together by their

common interest. Almost every degree produces

something peculiar to it. The food often is grown in

one country, and (the is gone) sauce at another. The fruits of

Portugal are ripe by the products of Barbados,

and the infusion of a China plant is sweeter

by (the is gone) pith of the Indian cane.

Answer:

Iron Maiden's reference to the line from Shakespeare's play is an example of:

B. literary allusion.

Explanation:

The figure of speech known as allusion happens when an author references to something or someone, but in an indirect manner. For instance, suppose you are writing an essay about kindness and selflessness. If you call someone a good Samaritan, you are alluding to a biblical character known for his kindness. When making an allusion, just like that one, the author expects the reader or listener to know what he is talking about. You do not explain what a good Samaritan is, since you expect your readers to know about the biblical story.

That is what we have in Iron Maiden's song: a literary allusion. The composer of the lyrics used lines from Shakespeare's play, from a literary work. He does not explain them, but he expects his listeners to know what he is referencing to.

Artemon [7]
Well, Horus had a falcon head, Bast was a cat goddess, and Nekhbet is the vulture goddess. The Egyptians believed that these animals had special powers, and the personality of the god or goddess depended on the animal they stood for, like Anubis had a jackal head, and helps with the Underworld (i guess that's what it's called). Hope this helps!
